Still at it
I founded Six Physio way back in 1996 with a single idea: treat the person, not the part
Nearly 30 years later, I sold it. One of the few people in UK private practice to have built an independent physio business to the point of a full PE exit.
I'm not saying that to boast. I'm saying it because it's relevant - it means I've seen the industry from every angle. Clinician. Manager. Founder. Seller.
I am still very much out and about - just working a little differently at Pure Sports Medicine, Kensington.
I still get occasionally irritated by how much this industry mistakes activity for progress.
Simple things done well, not complicated things done badly.
That's it. That's been the idea since 1996 and nothing in 30 years has changed my mind.
Good physio isn't complicated. It's honest, it's thorough, and it doesn't dress up common sense as innovation.
I write about this. Sometimes people agree. Sometimes they don't. Either way it's worth saying.
A project I led 7 years ago (!) during my time at Six Physio, integrating Samsung tech into real MSK practice to improve patient outcomes.
